Our Elders and Deacons

Steve Blount – Elder

Steve has worked for Blount Fine Foods for 33 years and is currently a vice president.  He and Cindy have been married for 34 years and have two grown children and three grandchildren.  Both Steve and Cindy have had leadership roles with their local church.  Steve has served as chairman of a church council, chairman of youth, and chairman of buildings and grounds. They both enjoy hiking and make frequent trips to Colorado whenever possible.  Steve enjoys playing golf and fishing on his days off. They live in Barrington, RI.

Eddy Capobianco – Elder

Eddy grew up on Long Island and came to New England to study at Boston College and Harvard Law School. He and his wife, Mary, came to faith as adults, and their testimony of a changed life is powerful and encouraging to all who know them. Eddy loves coaching soccer, discipling his three boys and competing in almost any sport. He and his family live in North Kingstown, RI.

 

Richard Fulton – Elder

Rich and Susan moved from Simsbury, CT, to Seekonk, MA, in the summer of 1999.  Since college Rich has spent most of his career in the dry cleaning industry, while Susan stayed home to raise their three children.  Their daughter serves as a social worker, one son is in college and another son is finishing high school.  Rich and Susan have led men’s and women’s ministries in their previous churches.  They both joined The Philip Center in November of 2006, where Rich serves as Director of Ministry Partnerships.  The Philip Center serves churches and Christian organizations through out New England in the area of evangelistic outreach. Rich and Susan enjoy watching their children’s sports teams and experiencing the beauty of New England.

Tim Zulker – Elder

Tim and Cindy moved from central New Jersey to Barrington in 1994. For 20 years they served in campus ministry at Princeton then at Brown University. In 2003, Tim founded The Philip Center, a non-profit ministry that equips and coaches churches in the Northeast for evangelistic outreach. Tim and Cindy have four children who have at different times have attended Christian school, home school and public school. Family life is full of swim meets, music events and juggling two exciting ministries. Where does Tim like to be on a day off? “Almost anywhere outdoors with my family – preferable in the woods, but Cindy prefers the beach. And if it can’t be outdoors, then I like to be playing Nertz with Cindy and the kids – even though I never win!”

Susan Fulton – Deacon

Susan has been married to her husband, Rich, for 28 years.  She has been involved in women’s ministries both in Connecticut, and in Seekonk since moving with her family in 1999.  Susan loves Bible study and is passionate about women growing in Christ.  She is also a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) mentor.  Susan joins her husband Rich in working with The Philip Center, a ministry involved in evangelism and outreach to churches in New England.  In her spare time, Susan loves spending time with her family and friends.

Todd Blount – Deacon

Todd grew up in the East Bay and currently lives in Barrington with his wife Mindy and their three children.  Since a teenager, he has been involved in small groups and has led a variety of men’s and mixed small groups over the past 20 years.  As an entrepreneur Todd stays busy with several for-profit and non-profit organizations but prefers to spend time with his family.  Todd has a passion to see men understand their role in the church and view their faith as a courageous adventure that takes “brave heart”-like motivation.  He loves the outdoors and looks for opportunities to hike and camp.  Todd helped start the Rhode Trip camping ministry and is active on the board of Camp Brookwoods in New Hampshire.

Alastair and Kathy Wright – Deacons

In 2007 Alastair and Kathy moved to Riverside, RI, from Evansville, IN, where Alastair taught in a Christian school for 16 years, and Kathy was a stay-at-home mom.  Alastair serves as the Director of Athletics at Barrington Christian Academy (BCA) as well as high school soccer, basketball and track coach.  Kathy continues to be a homemaker and teaches math part-time at BCA.  The Lord has blessed them with four children – Kimberley, Allie, Megan and Ian.  Having served in leadership roles in their church in Indiana (Alastair as an elder, Kathy in women’s ministries), they are glad  to be serving the Lord at Godspeed.  When not involved with BCA and Godspeed activities, they enjoy spending time with their kids, and when they are able, visiting extended family in Syracuse, NY, and Great Britain (Al grew up in Wales).
