Sunday School

At Godspeed we treasure our children and youth, valuing their role as current and future servants of Christ.  From the youngest to the oldest, we seek to disciple them in the ways of God, through teaching the Word, modeling godliness, supporting Gospel-centered parenting, and providing many ways to grow and experience service and leadership.  Rather than leaving the church behind when they graduate high school, we are prayerfully, actively seeking to pass the church on to them as they move into adulthood.  Our vision for church planting and spiritual leadership development includes our young people, even beginning with our junior high students.  See more here about our philosophy of discipling our children and youth.

We offer Sunday morning classes for children in three age groups: pre-school, elementary and middle school. On communion Sundays, only the pre-school class meets, because when a young person enters high school, we expect them participate fully in our Sunday morning service.  Young people are also included as helpers for the younger Sunday school classes. Each child’s Sunday school class is taught by a rotation of  teachers selected for that class.  Biblical education, safety and fun are highly valued by our teachers. However if your children would rather remain with you during the worship service, they are very welcome to do so.
